I’ve been telling the hubs we need a new toilet seat for the past couple of weeks, but he did not believe me…. Until today when he was having a nice bathroom break and nearly fell of the toilet. The result:

Valentine’s Day was wonderful. E and I gave each other the best cards and then went to the nearest Chinese buffet and ate as much as we could. It was great. And there were crab legs. Enough said. Hope your days were full of love!

It’s been a busy few weeks (more like almost months!), with Christmas, New Years and getting back into the swing of things! Now that its nearly February I guess I will pick up this blogging again 😉
So run down of what’s been happening:
Took down lots of wallpaper!
Made homemade ice cream…
With our mixer we got for our wedding. Which I ended up having to send back and get a new one because all that time sitting in the box broke it 😦
Made a New Years craft for our travel themed guest room
Hubs built a compost bin for our garden, yippee!
Went to a starwars-themed birthday party, which was awesome! Yoda soda was included.
Watched my little sis cheer! Go Indians!
Annnnnd, got to hang out with my grandma, aunt, E and I’s families and our adorable nephew/Godson and celebrate his first birthday! I love him.
I hope you are keeping as busy as I am this year. Here’s to even more crazy schedules!

So today’s the day, just in time for the new year. I’ve decided to remove the wallpaper in the kitchen, and I am hoping to have it completed by the afternoon (we will see how that goes).
I’m sticking with the good old fabric softener and scraper- it’s going to be a work out 🙂

It’s the eve of Jesus’ birthday and I am excited to celebrate! We’ve spent this past weekend gearing up for Christmas with holiday parties and time with family and friends. I love this time of year.
E and I exchanged gifts this weekend and I got the best gift ever!!!! He got me the American girl doll I always wanted but never got 🙂 I’m not too old to have a look-a-like doll, right?! Best husband ever.

This past week has been a doozy with work, house and socializing! This holiday season is definitely gearing up quick, and staying warm too!
We have been working to get the house put together, unpacking boxes and organizing, a lot! We choose one goal to accomplish a night and that seems to be working really well.
This past weekend I even ventured into wallpaper removing- I think I am now good enough to put it on my résumé! Hubs got 3 ducks while he was hunting, yes that’ll be dinner this week. And then we topped off the weekend with some garden spading (we had a load of manure dumped on it) and then we created a wonderful masterpiece of a gingerbread duck blind at my parents’.

Sorry I’ve been absent lately, BUT we have been busy moving these past 2 weeks!!! So much fun and excitement, ad I’m sure pictures to come.

I got to spend 2 days, 1 night in Chicago for work. And let me tell you, I think I like work travel. I get a hot tub in my room and a king size bed, bacon for breakfast and a great view of the city. Granted, I do know this is not how most trips go, but I enjoyed it to the fullest.
